Given families of sets \(\mathcal A, \mathcal B\), \(\text{S}_{fin}(\mathcal A, \mathcal B)\) stands for the selection principle stating that for each sequence \(\{A_n\in\mathcal A: n\geq 1\}\) there are finite sets \(B_n\subset A_n\) for each \(n\) so that \(\bigcup_{n\geq 1} B_n\in \mathcal B\); moreover, we get \(\text{S}_{1}(\mathcal A, \mathcal B)\) if we replace each \(B_n\) with a singleton. Motivated by previous results on these selection principles, the authors investigate when \(\mathcal A, \mathcal B\in \{\mathcal D_{\theta},\mathcal D_{\theta}^{gp}\}\), where \(\mathcal D_{\theta}\) is the collection of \(\theta\)-dense sets (which are the sets meeting the closures of all open subsets of a topological space \(X\)), and \(\mathcal D_{\theta}^{gp}\) is the collection of countable \(\theta\)-dense subsets of \(X\) that can be partitioned into nonempty finite subsets \(F_n, n\geq 1\) so that the closure of any open \(U\subset X\) meets all but finite many of the \(F_n\)'s. Related topological games are defined and investigated.
