Summary: We will first show that the differential equation \(F^{(k)} - z = e^\alpha(F - z)\) has transcendental entire solutions, where \(F = f^n\) and \(\alpha\) is an entire function. This improves already known results and answers an open question raised in the work of \textit{J. Zhang} and \textit{L. Yang} [Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn., Math. 34, No. 1, 249--260 (2009; Zbl 1177.30041)]. Finally, some examples are discussed.
