Considered are uniformly elliptic operators \(A = - \sum^n_{j,k=1}\partial_k (a_{jk}\partial_j) + V\), in \(n\)-dimensions, with a very large potential \(V(x)\). The authors are interested on the behavior of the heat kernel and the eigenfunctions associated to this operator. Under some very special assumptions on the potential \(V(x)\) and the coefficients of \(A\), an estimate for the heat kernel, for large \(x, y\) and all \(t > 0\) is proved.
