The existence and upper semicontinuity of random attractors for a strongly damped wave equation perturbed by multiplicative white noise are considered. There are two difficulties to be handled. On the one hand, because of the considered unbounded domains, the Sobolev compact embedding theorem cannot be applied directly. On the other hand, the strongly damped term and the nonautonomous term bring obstacles to tackle.
