The article under review constructs four families of \(q\)-ary MDS Euclidean self-dual codes with flexible parameters. The problem of constructing MDS self-dual codes for all possible lengths remains open, and the constructions provided in the article cover more than 34\% of the possible lengths for large square \(q\), comparing favourably with the current literature. Furthermore, the authors also obtain two new families of MDS Euclidean self-orthogonal codes and two new families of MDS Euclidean almost self-dual codes.
