Monads (= standard construction, triple or triad), algebras for monads, homology and derived functors for monads (18C15) Enriched categories (over closed or monoidal categories) (18D20) Regular categories, Barr-exact categories (18E08) Quantales (18F75) Monoidal categories, symmetric monoidal categories (18M05)
This paper demonstrates that module categories over quantales are precisely those quantaloids (i.e., categories enriched in the symmetric monoidal closed category of sup-lattices) that are monadic over the category of sets.
