A decomposition theorem for solving initial value problems in associated spaces

The authors study initial value problems of the type \(du/dt = Fu\), \(u(0) = u_0\). The main result is a decomposition theorem obtained in two versions. The first uses families of scales of Banach spaces. The second one applies the contraction mapping principle.
