A duality for representation by quadratic forms
From MaRDI portal
In a recent paper [Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 122(164), No.1(9), 3-11 (1983; Zbl 0527.10017)] \textit{A. N. Andrianov} proved a certain duality relation for positive definite quadratic forms over \({\mathbb{Z}}\). The present paper generalizes this to totally positive definite quadratic forms over an algebraic number field and considers also the case of positive definite Hermitian forms and indefinite quadratic forms. The proofs do not invoke Siegel's main theorem itself, in contrast to Andrianov's paper.
