A non-stochastic control method for systems under small random jumps

From MaRDI portal

In this paper, the authors investigate the time-averaging principle for a class of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with pure jumps and an on-off switch, establishing clear theorems (e.g., Theorem 1.2) to quantify the closeness of solutions between the original stochastic system and its time-averaged counterpart. The use of WPSL (With a Probability of Scale of at Least) notation to characterize control accuracy and probability admissibility adds precision, ensuring that the proposed method is not only theoretically sound but also comes with quantifiable performance guarantees. The numerical simulations clearly illustrate that the non-stochastic control steers the converter's state (capacitor voltage \(v_C\) and inductor current \(i_L\)) toward a small neighborhood of the origin, while uncontrolled systems fail to reach the desired state within the same timescale.
