A nonlinear system for phase change with dissipation
From MaRDI portal
The authors prove an existence and uniqueness result for a time-dependent nonlinear system derived from thermodynamical continuum mechanics which models phase changes with dissipation. Accretivity of the system is used for the uniqueness part, whereas existence is established by regularizing one of the nonlinearities.
