A sharp simple criterion for a subclass of starlike functions
From MaRDI portal
Let \(A\) denote the class of functions \(f\), that are analytic in \(U= \{z\in \mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}\), \(f(0)= f'(0)-1=0\). Theorem. Let \(M_0=1.5936\dots\) be the root of the equation \((2-M) e^M-2 =0\). Then \(|{f(z) \over f'(z)} |< M_0\) \((z\in U)\) implies \(|{zf'(z) \over f(z)} -1|<1\) \((z\in U)\). The bound \(M_0\) cannot be replaced by any greater number.
