A triangularity result for associated varieties of highest weight modules
In this paper, which is a continuation of his article [Commun. Algebra 27, 2979-2993 (1999; Zbl 0926.17008)], the author proves Conjecture 3.4 from \textit{T. Tanisaki} [Proc. Symp., Kyoto/Jap. and Hiroshima/Jap. 1986, Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 14, 1-30 (1988; Zbl 0703.17002)]. The main result states that there is a natural bijection between the right cells in the Weyl group and orbital varieties of all special nilpotent orbits in the corresponding Lie algebra, together with a partial order on the set of such orbital varieties, such that the variety, associated with a certain simple highest weight module, is the union of the variety corresponding to the right cell and larger varieties in the partial order. This is the triangularity result of the title.
