Adding an uncountable discrete subspace by forcing

Some quotes from the reviewed paper.\N\begin{itemize}\N\item Let \(\textbf{V}\) be a ground model. For a forcing poset \(\mathbb P\), let \(\textbf{V}^\mathbb P\) denote the forcing extension of \(\textbf{V}\) by \(\mathbb P\). Given a topological space \((X, \tau)\) in \(\textbf{V}\), we consider a topological space \((X, \tau^\mathbb P )\) in \(\textbf{V}^\mathbb P\) such that \(\tau^\mathbb P\) is the topology generated by \(\tau\). That is, \(\tau^\mathbb P = \{\cup U\colon U \subseteq \tau \}\).\N\item We are interested in the following question: \textit{Does there exist a topological space \((X, \tau)\) which has no uncountable discrete subspace such that the space \((X, \tau^\mathbb P )\) contains an uncountable discrete subspace for some forcing poset \(\mathbb P\)?}\N\item If we assume \(\textbf{CH}\) or the existence of a Souslin line, then the answer is yes (\dots), but we do not have a \(\textbf{ZFC}\) example. In this note, we provide various consistent examples.\N\end{itemize}\N\NReviewer's remarks: Most of the proofs are accessible for readers who are familiar with forcing.
