The paper under review, introduces and studies a family of modules over quantum affine algebras which include, as very special cases, both the snake modules and modules arising from a monoidal categorification of cluster algebras. The main results of the paper include a necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules to be prime as well as a unique factorization result. Also, an explicit formula expressing these module as an alternating sum of Weyl modules is given, this is the determinantal formula in question. As an application, the paper computes Kazhdan-Lusztig coefficients for a large family of \(\mathfrak{gl}_r\)-weights.
