Investigated is the convergence of generalized resolvents for closed symmetric finite difference relations in finite-dimensional spaces with nonnegative weight to generalized resolvents of closed symmetric singular differential relations in weight spaces of vector-valued functions. The method of generalized resolvents [\textit{A. V. Strauss}, Izv. Acad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Math. Ser. Mat. 21, No. 6, 785-809 (1975; Zbl 0089.11902)] and general discretization theory [\textit{V. A. Trenogin}, ``Functional Analysis, Moscow, Nauk. (1993; Zbl 0804.46001)] are used.
