The author develops an iterative multistep formula based on the geometric means predictor-corrector formulas introduced by the author and \textit{D. J. Evans} [New predictor-corrector trapezoidal formulae for solving initial value problems, in C. Brezinski (ed.), Numerical and Applied Mathematics, IMACS (1989)]. A numerical example is provided that shows that this formula can be used as a competitive alternative to \textit{J. M. Hyman's} iterative multistep formula [Explicit \(A\)-stable iterative methods for the solution of differential equations, Report No. LA-UR-79- 29, Los Alamos National Laboratory (1978)].
