Angle defect for super triangles
In super Minkowski \(2,1|2\) space, with three bosonic and two fermionic coordinates, endowed with its natural quadratic form \(Q\), the locus of all points in \({\mathbb R}^{2,1|2}\) where \(Q\) takes the value \(1\) and the sum of the first two bosonic coordinates is positive, represents the \textit{super hyperbolic plane}.\N\NThe author first analyzed in [IRMA Lect. Math. Theor. Phys. 34, 73--96 (2023; Zbl 1535.57033)] the law of cosines in the super hyperbolic plane, to surprisingly find that the formulae are the same as in classical hyperbolic geometry, although the cosine and sine of an angle greatly differ from their classical counterparts, involving fermionic corrections.\N\NIn the paper under review, he turns his attention to a super hyperbolic counterpart of the classical hyperbolic angle defect theorem, first proved by Lambert, stating that the sum of the interior angles of a hyperbolic triangle plus its area is a constant equal to \(\pi\). The situation in the super hyperbolic case turns out to be very different from the one in the classical hyperbolic case. Lambert's proof cannot be generalized in the context of the super hyperbolic plane, given that area is not the only additive function for super hyperbolic triangles. The main result states: The angle defect minus the area of a super triangle is given by a large fermionic correction, which is ``complicated and far from illuminating. The difference between angle defect and area is thus not zero.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1557.32001].
