Anisotropic diffusions with singular advections and absorptions. I: Existence

The author considers an anisotropic filtration problem with singular advections and strong absorptions, which leads to a quasilinear degenerate parabolic equation in divergence form. He proves the existence of solutions to the Cauchy problem and to the first initial-boundary value problem in two steps.
