Approximate analysis and design tools
From MaRDI portal
The authors describe methods (the use of pushover curve, capacity spectrum method, reverse energy technique, substituted structure method, and displacement based method) which are developed to help designers to predict maximum nonlinear response levels of complex structures (buildings) without calculating responses as functions of time. Four methods involve displacement as key parameter, and thus can be especially useful in design. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0896.00034].
