Arithmetic of the partition function.
Here the author surveys some recent advances concerning the arithmetic of the partition function \(p(n)\). Especially results for the parity of \(p(n)\) and linear congruences for \(p(n)\) are given. The relationship with Tate-Shafarevich groups of certain modular motives is also mentioned.NEWLINENEWLINEA more recent survey is given by the author in his book [The web of modularity: arithmetic of the coefficients of modular forms and \(q\)-series, CBMS Regional Conference Series in Mathematics 102. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (2004; Zbl 1119.11026)].NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0969.00053].
