Asymptotic behavior of solution of the modified two-phase free boundary problem
From MaRDI portal
A modified two-phase Stefan problem in one spatial dimension is investigated. The problem includes the kinetics for continuous initial conditions. The authors prove the existence of a unique bounded classical solution to the above problem. The main result of the paper consists in the existence proof of a compact attractor for classical solutions. Single-layer potentials, integral equation techniques and Banach's contraction mapping principle are used for the proofs.
