Axiomatization of some classes of acts over semigroups
Let \(S\) be a semigroup. A class of \(S\)-acts is called \textit{finitely axiomatized in the class of all acts} if there exists a finite system of axioms together with axioms of the act (i.e., the axioms of the form \(x(s_is_j)=(xs_i)s_j\)) that forms the theory whose models are exactly the acts of this class. The author proves that the class of subdirectly irreducible acts over a finite semigroup is finitely axiomatized. A monoid \(S\) fulfilling the identity \(s^2=1\) for all \(s \in S\) is called \textit{an elementary abelian \(2\)-group}. It is also proved that the classes of subdirectly irreducible acts over an infinite right (left) zero semigroup and over an infinite elementary abelian \(2\)-group are not finitely axiomatized.
