Calculation of line integrals in boundary integral methods
Boundary value problems for second-order elliptic equations (35J25) Approximate quadratures (41A55) Numerical quadrature and cubature formulas (65D32) Stability and convergence of numerical methods for boundary value problems involving PDEs (65N12) Boundary element methods for boundary value problems involving PDEs (65N38)
Quadrature rules for the approximation of line integrals possessing logarithmic singularities are proposed, and the convergence is shown. These integrals arise from the application of the boundary integral method to elliptic boundary value problems. In some cases superconvergence rate is demonstrated.
