Certain binary minimal codes constructed using simplicial complexes

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: In this article, we work over the non-chain ring mathcalR=mathbbZ2[u]/langleu3−uangle. Let minmathbbN and let L,M,Nsubseteq[m]:=1,2,dots,m. For Xsubseteq[m], define DeltaX:=vinmathbbZ2m:extSupp(v)subseteqX and , a subset of mathcalRm, where D1inDeltaL,DeltaLc,D2inDeltaM,DeltaMc,D3inDeltaN,DeltaNc. The linear code CD over mathcalR defined by is studied for each D. For instance, we obtain the Lee weight distribution of CD. The Gray map Phi:mathcalRlongrightarrowmathbbZ23 given by Phi(a+ub+u2d)=(a+b,b+d,d) is utilized to derive a binary linear code, namely, Phi(CD) for each D. Sufficient conditions for each of these binary linear codes to be minimal are obtained. In fact, sufficient conditions for minimality are mild in nature, for example, vertLvert,vertMvert,vertNvert<m−2 is a set of conditions for minimality of Phi(CD) for each D. Moreover, these binary codes are self-orthogonal if each of L,M and N is nonempty.
