Certain expansions associated with basic hypergeometric functions of three variables
This work extends to q-series \textit{H. M. Srivastava}'s symbolic expansion of triple hypergeometric functions [Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo, II. Ser. 16, 99-115 (1967; Zbl 0167.348)]. A basic analogue of Srivastava's generalized triple hypergeometric function is introduced and three classes of symbolic relations are given for it. Some of the consequent expansions are presented and an interesting special case is deduced in which certain terms of the expansion possess an extra free parameter. As is the case of many recent papers on this and related topics, this study will stimulate further research.
