Certifying Anosov representations

The paper is devoted to a numerically stable algorithm verifying the Anosov property, stronger than discreteness, in finite time. Finitely generated subgroups of \(\mathrm{SL}(d,\mathbb R)\) or \(\mathrm{SL}(d,\mathbb C)\) being projective Anosov generalize convex cocompact subgroups of isometries of hyperbolic space to higher rank.\N\NA sequence \(\{x_n\}\) in the set of unimodular positive definite Hermitian \(d\times d\) matrices \(\mathbb X := \{X \in \mathrm{Herm}; X \gg 0, \,\det X =1 \}\) is \(d_\alpha\)-\textit{undistorted} with constants \(c_1,c_2\) if its pseudometric distances \(d_\alpha\) are not less than the linear combinations of indices differrences: \(c_1|m-n| - c_2\leq d_\alpha(x_m, x_n)\); it is \(S\)-\textit{spaces} if its distances are lower bounded by \(S\), and is \(\varepsilon\)-\textit{straight} if each \(x_nx_{n+1}\) is \(\zeta\)-regular and for all \(n\), the angle \(\measuredangle_{x_n}^{\imath\zeta, \zeta}(x_{n-1}, x_{n+1}) \geq \pi - \varepsilon\) (Definition 4.1). Under certain precise conditions the author proved that an \(S\)-spaced and \(\varepsilon\)-straight sequence is \(d_\alpha\)-undistorted with constants \((c_1=S-2\delta_4,c_2=2\delta_4)\) (Theorem 4.2).
