Comments on the fractional step method
From MaRDI portal
The author shows that the fractional step method is fundamentally a method for advancing the solution in time, the analysis performed by such methods cannot be divorced from spatial discretization of various spatial operators. He clears up two of the most vexing questions accompanying traditional fractional step methods.
