Compact Toeplitz operators on generalized Fock spaces

From MaRDI portal

The generalized Fock spaces considered in this paper are associated with a positive radial function \(\varphi\) on \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Thus the space \(F_\varphi\) consists of all entire functions \(f\) which are square integrable when multiplied by \(\varphi\). Under reasonable assumptions on \(\varphi\), the space \(F_\varphi\) contains all polynomials and is complete. In this case one can study analogues of Toeplitz operators -- these are simply compressions of multiplication operators by bounded measurable functions. The authors characterize the bounded radial functions which give rise to a compact Toeplitz operator. They work with certain special weights which generalize the weight used to define the Segal-Bargmann space.
