Controllability analysis of damped elastic systems using sequence method
From MaRDI portal
The author studies a second-order integro-differential equation of Volterra-Fredholm type in a real Banach space. He first establishes the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions with the help of Banach's fixed point theorem, in conjunction with the linear semigroup theory. Then he proves an approximate controllability result by using the sequence method. An example of a damped elastic system to which the abstract theory applies is included.
