Derived delooping levels and finitistic dimension
The finitistic dimension conjecture has been an important subject of study in representation theory of algebras, not only by what it states but also for its connections with many others open problems, such as the Wakamatsu tilting conjecture or the Strong Nakayama conjecture. Recently, the notion of delooping level of an algebra was introduced and related with the finitistic dimension, which opened a new line of investigation. In the present paper, the authors refine the relations between the finitistic dimension and the delooping level by introducing three new invariants called the \textit{effective delooping level}, the \textit{sub-derived delooping level} and the \textit{derived delooping level} of an algebra and, as they say, ``close the gap between the delooping level of an algebra and the finitistic dimension of its opposite algebra.
