Differential graded triangular matrix categories

From MaRDI portal

Let \(\mathcal{U}\) and \(\mathcal{T}\) be preadditive categories and \(M\) be a bifunctor \(\mathcal{U}\otimes _{\mathbb{Z}} \mathcal{T} \rightarrow Ab\). In [\textit{A. Léon-Galeana} et al., Algebr. Represent. Theory 26, No. 3, 831--880 (2023; Zbl 1518.18003)], the so-called triangular matrix category \(\Lambda = \left[\begin{smallmatrix}\mathcal{T} & 0\\\NM & \mathcal{U} \end{smallmatrix}\right] \) is defined from \(\mathcal{U}\), \(\mathcal{T}\), and \(M\). This work is carried out from Mitchell's point of view [\textit{B. Mitchell}, Adv. Math. 8, 1--161 (1972; Zbl 0232.18009)]. In particular, Mod\((\Lambda)\) (the category of additive functors \(F:\Lambda \rightarrow Ab\)) is studied, and it is shown that it is equivalent to a comma category.\N\NIn the reviewed paper, it is proven that if \(\mathcal{U}\) and \(\mathcal{T}\) are dg-categories and \(M\) is a functor of dg-categories, then \(\Lambda\) is a dg-category. Furthermore, it is shown that the dg-category DgMod\((\Lambda)\) is equivalent to a comma dg-category.
