Eigenvalues of -symmetric oscillators with polynomial potentials

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: We study the eigenvalue problem uprimeprime(z)[(iz)m+Pm1(iz)]u(z)=lambdau(z) with the boundary conditions that u(z) decays to zero as z tends to infinity along the rays argz=fracpi2pmfrac2pim+2, where Pm1(z)=a1zm1+a2zm2+...+am1z is a polynomial and integers mgeq3. We provide an asymptotic expansion of the eigenvalues lambdan as no+infty, and prove that for each {it real} polynomial Pm1, the eigenvalues are all real and positive, with only finitely many exceptions.
