The author discusses some properties of linear operators between Banach spaces whose Weyl numbers belong to certain Lorentz sequence spaces [see \textit{A. Pietsch}, Math. Ann. 247, 149-168 (1980; Zbl 0428.47027)]. Moreover, he gives applications to regular and (weakly) singular integral operators.
