Estimates of Eigenfunctions for One Class of Boundary Conditions

\(L_\infty \)-estimates for eigenfunctions of the ordinary differential operator \[ l(y)=D^ny + \sum _{k=0}^{n-2} p_{n-k}(x)D^ky, \quad p_{n-k}\in L_1(-1,1), \quad D=(1/i){d\over {dx}} \] are established under appropriate assumptions on boundary conditions. Also it is shown that the following inequalities for eigenfunctions \[ |y_{\lambda}^{(k)}|_\infty \leq \text{const.} |\lambda |^{k/n}|y_\lambda |_2 \] yield certain restrictions on the spectrum.
