Examples of non-target-representable symplectic capacities

The main result of this paper provides some answer to the question of \textit{K. Cieliebak} et al. [Math. Sci. Res. Inst. Publ. 54, 1--44 (2007; Zbl 1143.53341)] whether there exist symplectic capacities that are not target-representable.\N\NTheorem. Let \(\mathcal{C}\) be an \(\mathbb{R}^{+}\)-invariant class of symplectic manifolds of dimension \(2n\) containing \(M\cup\widetilde{M}\). Then the capacity\N\[\Nc_{\widetilde{M}}:=\sup_{(\widetilde{M},\widetilde{\omega}) \in\widetilde{M}}\,c:c_{(\widetilde{M},\widetilde{\omega}) }\rightarrow\left[ 0,\infty\right]\N\]\Nis not target-representable, where \(M\) is an uncountable set of compact 1-connected, exact, symplectic manifolds with induced volume 1 and some assumptions assumed, while \(\widetilde{M}\) is a set of compact 1-connected, exact symplectic manifolds of volume (strictly) greater than 1 that have exactly three boundary components, one with helicity at least 4 and two with negative helicity adding up to at least \(-3\), such that every symplectic manifold with these properties is symplectomorphic to an element of \(\widetilde{M}\).\N\NThe authors establish secondary results on non-target representable capacities on closed symplectic manifolds as well as on non-target representable capacities on connected closed symplectic 4-manifolds.
