Exponential semi-polynomials and their characterization on semigroups
From MaRDI portal
The author defines exponential semi-polynomials on semigroups and establishes some of their basic properties. Inspired by the work of \textit{L. Székelyhidi} [Publ. Math. Debr. 83, No. 4, 757--771 (2013; Zbl 1299.43008)], it is shown that exponential semi-polynomials on commutative semigroups from a certain class are characterized by the property that they belong to finite-dimensional translation invariant linear spaces.
