Factorization of nonlinear ordinary differential equations, and linearization.
From MaRDI portal
The author considers general differential equations \[ y^{(n)}= F(x,y,y',\dots, y^{(n-1)}).\tag{\(*\)} \] He derives necessary and sufficient conditions for reducing \((*)\) to a linear equation by some coordinate transformations (including the Kummer-Liouville transformation).
