Feedback stability of closed sets for nonlinear control systems

From MaRDI portal

This paper concerns the local attainability of a closed set \(K\) by trajectories of a given nonlinear control system. The authors study sets \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) which are proximal retracts of a neighborhood of \(K\). Defining an external Bouligand cone and assuming a contingent condition of viablity type, they prove the local attainability of \(K\). The main tool of this approach lies in the use of proximal retracts introduced by Plaskacz and in proving a selection theorem of the ``external regulation map. Note that in this case, implicitly, the minimal time to reach \(K\) is Lipschitz. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0934.00032].
