Fixed points and quasi-equilibrium problems
The paper is concerned with fixed-point theorems for compact acyclic maps on convex subsets of topological linear spaces. Applications to existence of equilibria and solutions of quasi-variational inequalities are also discussed. This extends, improves, and unifies previous work of, e.g., \textit{M.-P. Chen} and the author [Commun. Appl. Nonlin. Anal. Theory Methods Appl. 4, No. 2, 103-118 (1997; Zbl 0878.49005)], \textit{P. Cubiotti} and \textit{J. C. Yao} [Appl. Math. Lett. 10, No. 1, 83-87 (1997; Zbl 0897.49005)], \textit{S. Kum} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 182, No. 1, 158-164 (1994; Zbl 0804.49012)], and \textit{M.-P. Chen} and the author [For East J. Math.
