Tldr We present an alternative derivation of the complex-step differentiation technique using Cauchy--Riemann equations, which leads to a general reconstruction framework encompassing Poisson, Hilbert, and Cauchy kernels, Stieltjes transform, resolvent methods, and semiclassical analysis.
