Function approximation on triangular grids: Some numerical results using adaptive techniques
From MaRDI portal
The authors explain some known results for \(L_\infty\) error norm of piecewise linear interpolation of a smooth function on an unstructured triangular mesh. By mesh adaptation techniques, both the size and the aspect ratio of the elements are controlled. Some numerical results and possible extensions are presented.
