Generalised Killing spinors on three-dimensional Lie groups
In the present article, the author classifies all left-invariant metrics on \(3\)-dimensional Lie groups \(G\) admitting invariant so-called generalised Killing spinors, which are sections \(\psi\) of the spinor bundle satisfying \(\nabla_X\psi=A(X)\cdot \psi\) for all tangent vector fields \(X\) and for some symmetric endomorphism field \(A\) of \(TG\). For all nine types of Lie algebras classified by \textit{L. Bianchi} [Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 33, No. 12, 2171--2253 (2001; Zbl 1027.53001)], the author describes explicitly the space of such generalised Killing spinors and shows that, whenever there exist invariant spinors, then they form a \(2\)-dimensional space and are all generalised Killing spinors in the above sense (Theorem 4.2). The proof is an algebraic case-by-case analysis on each Lie algebra of one of the nine types. As an extension, a study of the \(2n+1\)-dimensional Heisenberg group shows that it admits a left-invariant Riemannian metric such that the associated endomorphism field \(A\) has pointwise \(n+1\) distinct eigenvalues (Theorem 3.3).\N\NThe article is structured as follows. After a presentation of the main results in Section 1 and algebraic preliminaries on odd-dimensional Lie algebras in Section 2, the author turns to Heisenberg groups in Section 3 before focusing on \(3\)-dimensional Lie groups in Section 4, where the main result (Theorem 4.2) is proved. An appendix describes in detail each of the nine types of Lie algebras and the possible endomorphism field \(A\).
