Generalizations of amicable numbers

From MaRDI portal

Let \(\sigma(n)\) denote the sum of all positive divisors of a natural number \(n\). Two natural numbers \(m\) and \(n\) are said to be \textit{amicable} if \( \sigma(m) = \sigma(n) = m + n. \) There are various generalizations and analogs in the mathematical literature.\N\NIn this paper, the author proposes numerous new generalizations and analogs of amicable numbers, provides explicit examples, establishes fundamental properties of these new objects, and points out their connections to sequences in the OEIS.\N\NFor instance, the author defines the following notion: the natural numbers \(n_1, n_2, \dots, n_k\) form an \((\alpha_1, \alpha_2, \dots, \alpha_k)\)-multiamicable \(k\)-tuple if\N\[\N\sigma(n_1) = \sigma(n_2) = \cdots = \sigma(n_k) = \alpha_1 n_1 + \alpha_2 n_2 + \cdots + \alpha_k n_k.\N\]
