Global smooth solutions of MHD equations with large data
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: In this paper, we establish the global existence of smooth solutions of the three-dimensional MHD system for a class of large initial data. Both the initial velocity and magnetic field can be arbitrarily large in the critical norm.
The authors consider the Cauchy problem for the incompressible magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) system in \(\mathbb R^3\) with smooth initial data. The purpose of this article is to construct global smooth solutions to this Cauchy problem for a class of large initial data. The main result is represented by the proof of the existence of a global smooth solution for the considered Cauchy problem, under some assumptions concerning the initial data that can be, however, arbitrarily large.
