Global solvability of a problem of simulation of a gas--solid body phase transition
In [\textit{I. A. Kaliev} and \textit{A. V. Kazhikhov}, J. Math. Fluid Mech. 1, No. 3, 282-308 (1999; Zbl 0961.35108)], a new mathematical model was proposed for phase transitions between a solid body and a viscous compressible heat-conducting liquid (or gas). In the article under review, the model is studied under additional assumptions: the terms containing derivatives of velocity with respect to the space coordinate are neglected in the energy balance equation for the liquid phase. Existence and uniqueness theorems are formulated for global classic solutions to some classes of initial and boundary data which provide monotonicity of the free boundary.
