Globalization of partial inverse semigroupoid actions on sets

From MaRDI portal

A \textit{partial action} \(\theta\) of an inverse semigroupoid \(\mathcal{S}\) on a set \(X\) is defined as a pair \((\{X_s\}_{s\in S}, \{\theta_s\}_{s\in S})\), \(X_s\subseteq X\), \(\theta_s\colon X_{s^*}\to X_s\), satisfying certain natural conditions. The action \(\theta\) is called \textit{global} if \(X_s=X_{ss^*}\) for every \(s\in \mathcal{S}\). A (global) \(\mathcal{S}\)-set is defined as a pair \((X, \theta)\) where \(\theta\) is a partial (respectively, global) action on \(X\). Embeddings and \(\mathcal{S}\)-functions of \(\mathcal{S}\)-sets are defined. The triple \((\varphi, Y, \theta^Y)\), \(\varphi\colon X\to Y\) an \(\mathcal{S}\)-function, is called a \textit{universal globalization} of \((X, \theta^X)\) if \(\varphi\) is a globalization of \((X, \theta^X)\) and for any globalization \((\psi, Z, \theta^Z)\) of \((X, \theta^X)\), there exists a unique \(\mathcal{S}\)-function \(\sigma\colon Y\to Z\) making respective diagram commutative. For a given inverse semigroupoid \(\mathcal{S}\) and an \(\mathcal{S}\)-set \((X, \theta)\), a globalization of \((X, \theta)\) is constructed which is also a \(\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{S})\)-reflector of \((X, \theta)\) (and therefore a universal globalization of \((X, \theta)\)), where \(\mathcal{A}(\mathcal{S})\) denotes the class of global \(\mathcal{S}\)-sets together with the class of \(\mathcal{S}\)-functions between them.
