Abstract: The hook components of $V^{otimesn}$ interpolate between the symmetric power $sy{m}^n(V)$ and the exterior power $wedg{e}^n(V)$. When $V$ is the vector space of $kimesm$ matrices over $$, we decompose the hook components into irreducible $$-modules. In particular, classical theorems are proved as boundary cases. For the algebra of square matrices over $$, a bivariate interpolation is presented and studied.
