Hyperbolic geometry. An introduction using calculus and complex variable
This is a nicely written introduction to the basic ideas and tools in Hyperbolic Geometry including as topics the problems of constructing surfaces with a hyperbolic structure, or obtaining universal coverings of surfaces by means of the hyperbolic plane. It also includes a brief discussion on some open problems concerning the 3-dimensional hyperbolic structures as well as a list of references intended to provide a good idea of the actual development of the topic.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe appendices contain a brief comparative revision of the main properties for Euclidean and hyperbolic geometry on the one hand and of two different models for the hyperbolic plane on the other.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0948.00039].
