Integrable systems in projective differential geometry
Die projektive Differentialgeometrie der Flächen im projektiven 3-Raum wurde schon vor längerer Zeit vor allem durch Beiträge von Wilczynski, Fubini, Cartan, Bol, Godeaux, Barner, Kunle und Degen zu hoher Blüte entwickelt; viele ihrer schönen Resultate sind inzwischen nahezu vergessen worden. In der ausgezeichnet geschriebenen Abhandlung gibt der Autor unter Anwendung moderner Methoden (Soliton-Theorie) einen einheitlichen analytischen Zugang, wobei die jeweils entsprechenden integrierbaren Systeme den geometrischen Zugang vorzeichnen. Unter Verwendung des Wilczynski-Dreibeins werden die folgenden Einzelthemen studiert: Isotherme asymptotische Flächen (Veselov-Novikov Gleichung), projektiv abwickelbare Flächen (Kadomtsev-Petviashvili Systeme, Davey-Stewartson-Systeme), Jonas-Flächen (Davey-Stewartson-Systeme), projektive Minimalflächen (periodische Toda-Verbände der Periode 6), Flächen deren Schmieglinien linearen Komplexen angehören (\(W\)-Kongruenzen, Bäcklund-Transformationen, Dirac-Gleichung). Die umfangreiche Abhandlung enthält ein ausgezeichnetes Literaturverzeichnis und wird für die Zukunft sicher viele Anregungen zu weiterer Forschung auf diesem interessanten Gebiet liefern.
