Interpolation and random interpolation in de Branges-Rovnyak spaces
Consider a de Branges-Rovnyak space \(\mathcal{H}(b) \) whose defining function \(b \) is a non-extreme rational function and let \(\mathcal{M}(\mathcal{H}(b)) \) denote the multiplier algebra associated to \(\mathcal{H}(b). \) Given a sequence \(\Lambda \) of points in the unit disc, the problem is to determine conditions on the sequence \(\Lambda \) that characterize the surjectivity of the operator\N\[\NT : \mathcal{M}(\mathcal{H}(b)) \to \ell^\infty(\Lambda), \,\,\, f \mapsto \{ f(\lambda) \}_{\lambda \in \Lambda}.\N\]\NThe characterization given in Theorem 1.2 is in terms of the Carleson condition and a summability condition which depends on the position and the orders of the zeros of the ``Pythagorean mate of \(b. \) A main ingredient in the proof is the identification of the spaces \(\mathcal{H}(b) \) with a higher-order local Dirichlet space (see [\textit{S. Luo} et al., Adv. Math. 385, Article ID 107748, 47 p. (2021; Zbl 1545.47046)]). From this identification, estimates are obtained for the higher-order Dirichlet integral of Blaschke products which are useful in this context. The second problem studied is the probabilistic version of the interpolation problem for \(\mathcal{M}(\mathcal{H}(b)) \). Let \((r_n) \) be a sequence of radii in \((0,1) \) and \(\Theta_n \) a sequence of i.i.d., uniformly distributed on \((0,2\pi) \). What is the probability that the sequence \( (r_n e^{i\Theta_n}) \) is interpolating for \(\mathcal{M}(\mathcal{H}(b)) \)? It is shown that this probability equals \(1 \) if\N\[\N\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} (1-r_n)^{\frac{1}{2M}}<+\infty,\N\]\Nwhere \(M \) is the maximum multiplicity of a zero of the Pythagorean mate of \(b \). If this series diverges the probability of the sequence being interpolating is \(0\). This is a manifestation of Kolmogorov's \(0-1 \) law.
